This time, the Ragged Music Festival is traveling away from London. For our first touring edition, we are going to Amsterdam and crossing the arched bridge to the transparent building of the Muziekgebouw.

Inspired by glass, water, and the sky, this will be a journey into uncharted lands. The seven concerts over two days are imagined as a meditation on transformation and transition, on transience and translucency. We are collaborating with the London-based Belgian artist Eva Vermandel, who will help us explore the space and spirit through her distilled vision.

Our programming is a phantasmagoria of bridges, arches, and reflections grown around some of the iconic late works of Dmitri Shostakovich, a composer who managed to register with uncanny precision some glimpses of eerie pearlescent light between existence and non-existence.
